About

You probably should know my name by now but in case you don't, I am Joshua Ong. Born 30 November 1994, I grew up in the beautiful city of Singapore. Technically, I have been doing photography for a long time. My first camera was a point and shoot film Fujifilm camera that my parents gave me, which soon upgraded to a 2.0 megapixel digital camera.

My passion for photography only took off in 2007 when I was inspired by one of my best friend's work. So, off I went to buy a Canon 400D and the rest is history. I don't really adhere to shooting a particular subject/theme (am still experimenting and finding which style suits me best). I simply enjoy using photography to remember the moments in life and to capture the world from my perspective.

Outside of photography, I am currently doing a masters in aerospace engineering at the University of Bristol. The only thing I love more than photography (other than God, family & friends) is aeroplanes and I had set my mind to do aerospace engineering since young. I am also UAV Pilot in the Republic of Singapore Air Force.

Travelling the world, especially the outdoors, has always been my greatest joy. Being in a city almost 24/7/365, I find solitude, peace and energy in nature. I love my hikes and will never shun away from an adventure!

I hope that this site will inspire you to admire the wonderful world we are in! Please do check out the blog where my sharing will include personal experiences and itineraries of the countries I have visited!
